The questions that come up most often before an engagement starts. If yours is not here, ask it directly and you will get a straight answer.
Are you a software supplier?
No. Devicon Ltd is a vendor-neutral consultancy. We do not sell licences, hardware or subscriptions, we hold no reseller agreements and we take no commission from suppliers. Options are compared on cost, fit and support terms alone.
Can you guarantee that our systems will not fail?
No, and any supplier who does is overstating what is possible. What we provide is a written assessment, prioritised recommendations and implementation support. Day-to-day reliability depends on how the changes are operated after handover, and we set out what that requires.
How is your work priced?
Per engagement, at fixed prices agreed before work starts. An Initial Technology Review is £195, a Software Selection Report is £120 and a Workflow Review is £75, all one-off amounts in pounds sterling. Further implementation sessions are £45 each.
Will you need access to our data?
Not for a review. Reviews are carried out from documentation, screenshots and a working call with you. If implementation support is needed later, the access required is agreed with you first, limited to the task, and removed when the work is finished.
How quickly do we receive the recommendations?
Written recommendations follow within five working days of the discovery call. Where a review depends on information only you can provide, the five days start once that information is to hand.
Can you work with older or legacy systems?
Yes. Legacy systems are usually the reason a review is worth doing. We assess what can be retained, what has to be replaced and what the migration order should be, so that existing records stay reachable throughout.
Do you hold security certifications?
We do not claim any certification, accreditation or approval that we do not hold, and we are not a certification body. Our security work is advisory: a review of the protections in place, a written risk note and a prioritised improvement list.
What happens after the review?
You keep the report and any working files. Some clients act on the recommendations themselves; others ask us to support the implementation. Further sessions are available at £45 each, agreed in advance, and there is no retainer or minimum term.
