How we work
Devicon Ltd is an advisory practice. We do not sell software, hardware or subscriptions, and we take no commission from suppliers. The work is delivered in stages so you can stop at any point and keep everything produced so far.
The four stages
Discovery call
A working call of about an hour. We go through the systems you use today, the software you pay for, who relies on each tool, and the problem that prompted the enquiry.
Written recommendations
A short report listing what we would keep, what we would change, what it costs and the order we would tackle it in. Delivered within five working days of the call.
Implementation support
If you want help making the changes, we stay involved through configuration, account structure, permissions and the migration itself. Quoted before it starts.
Handover and review
Account ownership, credentials, renewal dates and support contacts recorded in one document, followed by a review point to check what actually changed.
Working standards
Fixed scope
The review is priced before it begins. If the scope changes, the new figure is agreed with you in writing first.
Written outputs
Reports, comparison tables, process maps and checklists are handed over at the end of the engagement. They are yours to keep.
Plain language
Recommendations are written for the person who has to act on them. Where a technical detail matters, it is explained rather than assumed.
What a first engagement usually involves
Most engagements begin with a review rather than a project. That keeps the initial commitment small, gives you something written to judge the work by, and leaves you free to stop there.

The first piece of work is deliberately bounded. It answers one question — what should we keep, what should we change, and in what order — and it produces a document you can act on with or without us. Where a review shows the problem is smaller than expected, we say so; that is a useful outcome rather than a wasted engagement.
